PADI or IANTD's Open Water Diver program is the first step in your SCUBA career. Our PADI classes are usually scheduled for evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class runs for three weeks. Tuesday nights will be in the classroom learning the theory behind diving while Thursday nights are spent in the pool learning skills. Check-out dives in open water are usually conducted on last two saturdays of the course at Alexander Springs where the water has 200' visibility and a brisk 72 degree water temperature year round.
It is our goal to accommodate any need. With that said, IANTD's Open Water Diver program is generally ran on two consecutive weekends. Saturday morning is spent learning the theory behind SCUBA diving. Saturday afternoon is spent in the pool learning skills. On Sunday morning we complete the theory behind SCUBA. On Sunday afternoon we demonstrate a mastery of the skills we have learned in the pool. The following Saturday and Sunday are spent at a dive site of your choice (that meets the limits of your certification) reinforcing the skills mastered the previous week. For increased bottom times and added safety we encourage taking the Enriched Air Nitrox course in conjunction with the Open Water Diver course.
We also offer private classes to meet your strict scheduling needs.
