The Dive Master course is the first step to a professional certification in SCUBA. This means that you can be employed to assist, escort and/or supervise other divers. This supervision can take place both during class and beyond for many recreational classifications of diving. Dive Masters may supervise, escort and assist in open water SCUBA instruction. For those so inclined we also offer a Cavern Dive Master.
The prerequisites for becoming a Dive Master are as follows: Certification at the Advanced Open Water level. The student must be certified as a Rescue Diver. The student must have a current First Aid and CPR certification. The student must be at least 18 years of age and must show proof of at least 60 dives.
